Contemporary artist Constantine Popov also known as Constantine Pop was born in 1962. He travelled around Europe before finally making Australia his permanent home. Constantine's paintings are valuable pieces among collectors who admire his distinctive style, brilliant use of colour, bold traplines and minimalist simplicity. His great-grandmother was Marina Tsvetaeva, considered one of the most acclaimed poets of 20th century. His great-grandfather, Ivan Tsvetaev, was an art scholar, philologist, and founder of what is now known as the Pushkin Museum of Fine Art.
